Idlebound
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: July 25, 2026
These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Ithoro LLC. They cover account security, fair play, player content, virtual items, purchases, subscriptions, enforcement, service changes, and limits on liability. If you are a minor, review them with a parent or legal guardian.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Ithoro LLC ("Ithoro," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of Idlebound, including the game, website, accounts, multiplayer features, support, and any related service that links to these Terms (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, accessing the game, clicking to accept, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Additional platform or feature terms may apply. If additional terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms control for that feature.
2. Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age, that higher age applies. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the Services.
You may not use the Services if doing so would violate applicable law, if you have been prohibited from using them, or if we previously terminated your account and have not given written permission for you to return.
3. Accounts and guest access
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
- Protect your login credentials and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access.
- Do not sell, transfer, lend, share, or commercially exploit an account. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.
- Character names and other public identifiers must follow these Terms. We may change or remove identifiers that are misleading, infringing, offensive, or disruptive.
Guest accounts are designed for convenient temporary access. If you clear local data, change devices, lose access to the installation, or fail to link the guest account to a verified email address, the account and its progress may be unrecoverable. We are not responsible for lost guest access that results from an unlinked account.
4. License to use Idlebound
Subject to these Terms, Ithoro grants you a limited, personal, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and nonsublicensable license to access and use the Services for personal, noncommercial entertainment.
You may not, except where applicable law expressly permits it:
- Copy, sell, rent, distribute, or commercially exploit the Services or game assets.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works from the Services.
- Remove legal notices or circumvent access controls, security systems, or technical restrictions.
- Use the Services to develop or train a competing product, cheat, automation tool, or unauthorized service.
5. Player rules and fair play
You agree not to do, encourage, or help anyone do any of the following:
- Use bots, macros, scripts, packet tools, modified clients, unauthorized automation, or cheats. Features expressly built into Idlebound, including its intended idle systems, are allowed.
- Exploit bugs, duplicate items or currency, manipulate progression, evade limits, or keep an unfair benefit created by an error. Report serious exploits instead of sharing or abusing them.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, sexually exploit, dox, impersonate, defraud, or encourage harm toward another person.
- Post illegal, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, malicious, or privacy invading content.
- Attempt to access another account, probe or disrupt our systems, distribute malware, interfere with other players, or launch denial of service activity.
- Sell or buy accounts, services, progression, game currency, or virtual items for real money or other value outside a method we expressly authorize.
- Spam, advertise, solicit, abuse support or reporting systems, evade a suspension, or help another person evade enforcement.
- Use the Services for unlawful activity or in violation of sanctions or export laws.
6. Player content and communications
"Player Content" means chat messages, character names, feedback, and other material you submit through the Services. You retain any rights you already hold in Player Content. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it and that it complies with these Terms.
You grant Ithoro a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, adapt, and use Player Content only as reasonably needed to operate, moderate, secure, improve, and promote the Services. This license lasts while the content is available through the Services and for a reasonable period afterward in backups, legal records, and safety systems. Public gameplay footage or screenshots may show your public character or messages.
We may monitor, filter, review, preserve, remove, or disclose Player Content when reasonably needed to operate the Services, enforce these Terms, respond to reports, protect users, or comply with law. We do not promise to review every communication and are not responsible for Player Content submitted by others.
7. Virtual items, purchases, and subscriptions
Virtual items and currency
Characters, progression, gold, gems, equipment, rewards, and other digital content ("Virtual Items") are licensed, not sold. They have no cash value, are not property, cannot be redeemed for money, and may not be transferred outside the Services unless we expressly allow it.
We may create, modify, rebalance, limit, or remove Virtual Items and their availability as part of operating and evolving an online game. We will honor any nonwaivable consumer rights that apply to paid content.
Purchases and payment
Prices, the transaction currency, applicable taxes or fees, and the content or benefits included will be shown before you complete a purchase. You authorize the disclosed charge when you confirm a purchase. You represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may make a purchase only with permission from your parent or legal guardian.
A purchase made through an app store, game distribution service, payment provider, or other third party platform is also governed by that platform's payment and refund rules. The platform may be the seller of record and may process the charge, receipt, cancellation, and refund. Contact the platform that processed the transaction for a platform billed purchase. For a purchase billed directly by Ithoro, contact support@ithoro.com.
Except where law or an applicable platform policy requires otherwise, completed purchases and consumed digital content are final. If a transaction is refunded, reversed, charged back, canceled, fraudulent, or unauthorized, we may revoke the corresponding Virtual Items, subscription access, or other benefits and correct the associated account balance. We may also correct duplicate grants, pricing errors, and benefits delivered because of a technical error. Nothing in this paragraph limits a lawful right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge. Where required, the purchase flow will explain any statutory withdrawal right and request any acknowledgment needed before digital content is delivered immediately.
Subscriptions and automatic renewal
Idlebound may offer paid plans that provide benefits for a stated subscription period. The specific offer presented before enrollment will identify the plan, included benefits, subscription duration, amount charged, billing frequency, renewal terms, and how to cancel. Those offer terms are part of these Terms and control if they conflict with this general section. Subscription plans will provide the recurring benefits described in the offer throughout the subscription period. A one time purchase will not be presented as a recurring subscription merely because it includes Virtual Items.
If an offer is identified as automatically renewing and you affirmatively agree to it, the subscription will renew for the period disclosed in the offer until canceled. The billing platform will charge the payment method associated with your account at the start of each renewal period at the then applicable price, plus applicable taxes or fees. Renewal timing may vary slightly because of processing time or platform rules.
Trials and promotional offers
A free trial, introductory price, or other promotion may have separate eligibility rules. The offer will disclose its duration, the benefits included, when it ends, the price and billing frequency that apply afterward, and whether it automatically converts to a paid subscription. Unless the offer states otherwise, an automatically converting trial or promotion must be canceled before the disclosed deadline to avoid the next charge. One trial or promotion may be limited to one person, account, payment method, or household.
Cancellation and account deletion
You may cancel a subscription at any time using the online cancellation method identified in the offer, your account settings, or the billing platform's subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law or platform rules provide otherwise. You generally retain the subscription benefits through that date. Canceling does not by itself provide a refund for the current period.
Uninstalling Idlebound or stopping use does not cancel a subscription. Deleting an Idlebound account also may not cancel a subscription billed by a third party platform. Before deleting an account with an active platform subscription, cancel the subscription through that platform. We will provide a warning and available management instructions during the account deletion process. Immediate account deletion may cause you to lose access to subscription benefits that remain paid through the end of a billing period.
Renewal notices, price changes, and plan changes
We or the billing platform will provide renewal reminders, trial ending notices, receipts, and other subscription notices when required by law or platform rules. We may change a subscription price or its benefits for a future renewal period. Any change will take effect only after the notice period and consent process required by applicable law and platform rules. If you do not agree to a change that requires consent, the subscription may end at the close of the current paid period.
If a payment fails, the billing platform may retry the charge and may provide a grace period. We may suspend subscription benefits when an entitlement expires or payment remains unpaid. Subscription benefits may not transfer between platforms and may not be available on every device unless the offer says otherwise. Where supported, use the billing platform's restore purchase feature or contact support for help restoring an active entitlement.
Nothing in this section limits cancellation, refund, withdrawal, warranty, or other consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
8. Enforcement and appeals
We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including warnings, content removal, name changes, feature restrictions, rollbacks, removal of improperly obtained progress or items, temporary suspension, or account termination.
We may use automated signals to identify suspicious behavior, but significant enforcement is subject to human review where required by law. We may act without advance notice when needed to protect players, evidence, or the Services. We may take action across related accounts when reasonably necessary to prevent evasion or abuse.
To appeal an enforcement decision, email support@ithoro.com with the account and decision involved. Abusing the appeal process may result in limits on further submissions.
9. Updates, testing, and availability
Idlebound is an evolving online game. We may patch, rebalance, add, remove, suspend, or change features, content, servers, rewards, supported platforms, and technical requirements. We do not guarantee that the Services or any specific content will always be available, error free, or unchanged.
Test, preview, and beta features may be incomplete, confidential when identified as such, and changed or discontinued at any time. Scheduled and emergency maintenance may interrupt access. We will provide notice of material discontinuation when reasonably possible.
10. Ownership, intellectual property, and feedback
Ithoro and its licensors own the Services, Idlebound name and branding, software, game systems, artwork, audio, text, characters, maps, designs, and other content, excluding Player Content owned by users. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
If you believe content in the Services infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us with your contact information, identification of the protected work, identification and location of the allegedly infringing material, the basis for your claim, and a statement that the information is accurate.
If you voluntarily provide suggestions or ideas, you grant Ithoro a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty free right to use them without restriction or compensation. Please do not submit ideas you expect us to keep confidential.
11. Third party services
The Services may use or link to third party platforms, stores, websites, or services. Their terms and privacy policies govern your relationship with them. Ithoro is not responsible for independent third party content, products, security, availability, or practices. A link does not imply endorsement.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion by contacting support. Ithoro may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or safety risk, fail to pay an amount due, or if continued service is no longer commercially, legally, or technically practical.
When these Terms end, your license ends and you may lose access to your account, progression, and Virtual Items. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive, including provisions on ownership, Player Content licenses, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and general terms.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Ithoro and its licensors and service providers disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, and any warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, error free, or free of harmful components.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ithoro and its members, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or service interruption, arising from or related to the Services or these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Ithoro and the parties listed above for all claims arising from or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Ithoro for the Services during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 United States dollars.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, which may include liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death, or personal injury. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
15. Disputes and governing law
Before filing a formal claim, you and Ithoro agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Send a written notice to support@ithoro.com describing the dispute, the account involved, and the relief requested. This requirement does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or using an eligible small claims process.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Ithoro LLC in the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any claim must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction over the parties and dispute. If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of mandatory protections or a forum available under the law where you live.
16. General terms
- Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and update the date above. We will provide additional notice of material changes when reasonably possible. Continuing to use the Services after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Services.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable additional terms are the entire agreement about the Services and replace earlier agreements on the same subject.
- Electronic communications. You agree that account notices and other communications may be provided electronically, including through the Services, website, or email.
