Everything your character wears is now equipment you own, from your sword to your shoes.
Over 70 pieces
Weapons, shields, hats, tops, bottoms, shoes, gloves, capes, necklaces and earrings. Each piece has its own icon, needs a certain level, and many make you stronger: attack adds to every hit, and defense softens a monster’s touch.
Right-click a piece in your inventory (I) to put it on. Press U to see what you’re wearing, and right-click there to take something off. A few rules apply, the classic way:
- A shield goes only with a one-handed sword, a dagger or a wand.
- A robe covers both your top and your bottom.
- Whatever you replace goes back into your bag.
Rowan’s shop
Rowan has set up shop in Starter Town with gear for every class, from a Wooden Bow to a Pirate Hat. Click her to browse. She’ll also buy back anything you carry for a quarter of its price.
Rare drops
Every kind of monster now has gear of its own to drop, rarely. Carrots in the snowfields might leave a cape, a wizard hat or a steel shield behind.
Dress the part
New characters choose a top, a bottom and shoes, and start with a Steel Sword. Take something off and your character wears the basics underneath. The game’s windows are bigger and easier to read, too.
